Janice first embraced the Florida lifestyle in 1989 on beautiful Sand Key, where she embarked on a real estate career locally and later in Boca Grande. After taking time off to raise her five young daughters, Janice returned to real estate full-time in 2004. In the course of her career, Janice has sold everything from a one-bedroom condominium to a $5 million estate! Among her proudest achievements was the sale of a 640-acre farm in Ocala. She notes, “I strongly believe in purchasing land – whether to develop it, use it for recreational purposes or planting trees … I love land and I love being outdoors!” In fact, Janice and her family have visited 23 national parks – hiking, rafting and exploring nature’s glory in the great outdoors. Janice is also an avid running enthusiast!

Born and raised in Kentucky, Janice attended Western Kentucky University and still frequently visits her beloved Bluegrass State to spend time with family and friends. She currently resides in Safety Harbor. Her two youngest daughters attend high school, one daughter is in the Marine Corps, another has graduated from University of Florida working on her Masters in Education and her oldest daughter is seeking her doctorate at UF.

Janice is a strong believer in the importance of giving back through community involvement. She was an active member of the Junior League for many years, served on the Board of Directors of the Dunedin Fine Arts Center, Children’s Dream Fund, and was a substantial donor to both the Dunedin Fine Arts Center and All Children’s Hospital. In addition, she helped to establish a nonprofit organization devoted to Therapeutic Horseback Riding for the disabled and special needs.

Janice Mason’s diverse portfolio of successful home and land sales will continue to serve her well as she embarks on her mission of providing excellent, knowledgeable service to buyers and sellers with Coastal Properties Group and Christie’s International Real Estate.
