No matter which aspect of Sue Flaig’s life is discussed (family, community, professional, or hobby); her positive interactions with people remain her focus. Sue has experienced many successes since moving to Florida from St. Louis, Missouri in 1979. Those successes can be traced to her life experiences and interactions with the people surrounding her. This well-rounded mother, wife, clown, pilot, community leader and businesswoman has used her life experiences to achieve success in the Real Estate Industry.

Sue places great importance on activities that touch the lives of both professional and community peers. As an active member of the Women’s Counsel of REALTORS® (WCR), Sue has held every elected position on the state and local level as well as being WCR Member of the Year (state and local level) and was installed as the WCR National President in 2003. A few of the national positions Sue has held include the Recording Secretary, Financial Secretary, Region Vice President and Governor. Sue credits WCR with providing opportunities for her to improve her professional skills. Her educational enhancements include the CRB, CRS, GRI, LTG and PMN designations.

As the industry continues to change, Sue chooses to specialize in the one constant, interaction with people. One way that she is able to achieve this outlook is to participate in community help programs. A unique one is a “clown-college” graduate that participates in the Humor for Healing program. The premise is to dress in clown attire and provide entertainment for patients in area hospitals. Other ways Sue puts people first is her fundraising for Morton Plant Mease Hospital. As Chairman of the Financial Counseling Services her group helped raise $11,000,000 for the hospital complex. Sue served on the Boards of the Project Grace, the Belleair Township Historic Preservation Commission and was President of the Clearwater Business Club.

Her personal attention approach has also created opportunities for her colleagues to recognize her work. Sue was the first to ever twice receive the Pinellas REALTORS® Organization REALTOR® of the Year award (1993 and 1996). Even with her many involvements, Sue has been a consistent mega-million-dollar producer. Sue lists and sells anything from single-family units to multi-million-dollar waterfront properties. An area of client specialty has developed as a result of the many out-of-town referrals Sue gets from her national networking.

Sue’s desire to help train others even ties into the activities that are completely separate of her professional life. Sue is a licensed Private Pilot. She also has a Ground Instructor’s license, allowing others to benefit from her knowledge. She says that her time spent managing an airport added to her management abilities in her personal life.

She has extensive real estate knowledge and experience as a Managing Broker and a Top Selling Associate in the Greater Clearwater and Pinellas areas. Her greatest passion is serving and guiding Buyers and Sellers through the process of buying and selling their real estate properties.
